Jean Hailes presently has the following positions available:

Receptionist/Administration Assistant (full-time)

An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and motivated Receptionist/Administration Assistant, to support a busy team in a professional environment. The role involves assisting with daily office activities and will appeal to a highly organised individual who has an eye for detail and loves data entry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Front desk and reception services, including welcoming and coordinating visitors
  • High volume data entry and database maintenance
  • Maintaining office premises including ordering stationery and other office consumables
  • Handling correspondence including opening, distributing and posting mail, managing email enquiries and organising couriers
  • Fulfilling online orders for shop purchases and free health information resources
  • Reconciling accounts
  • Administrative assistance to team members, including formatting documents, data entry, travel arrangements and other support as required

Key selection criteria:

  • Exceptional phone manner and customer service skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated administrative skills gained in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft programs, in particular PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Access or equivalent data software
  • Self-motivated, organised and disciplined, with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage competing demands
  • Experience and confidence in building and maintaining relationships, and effective networking
  • Ability to prepare professional correspondence
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to working as part of a high-performing team
  • The ability to understand and appreciate the needs of people from diverse cultural backgrounds

The position is based in South Melbourne, Victoria. Standard office hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm, with a 30 minute lunch break.

General Practitioner – 1-2 sessions per week (neg)

Jean Hailes for Women's Health is a not-for-profit organisation providing important services for women from adolescence to midlife and beyond and is regarded throughout Australia as a leader in women's healthcare.

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic GP to join our wonderful team at our Medical Centres in East Melbourne and/or Clayton. We are a fully computerised and paperless practice, with the support of a practice nurse. Onsite parking is provided. Fee split arrangement applies.

We offer a diverse and interesting clinical experience in a dynamic national health organisation where clinical care is integrated with education and research. Additional professional development activities are available for candidates wishing to extend their current interest/knowledge on women's health conditions.

Endocrinologist – 1 session per week

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic Endocrinologist to join our wonderful team at our Medical Centres in East Melbourne and/or Clayton. Onsite parking is provided.
