Peter Rogers

Peter is a founding board member for Jean Hailes. He is Director of Research at the Royal Women’s Hospital and Professor of Women's Health Research.

Peter is a founding board member for Jean Hailes. He is Director of Research at the Royal Women’s Hospital and Professor of Women's Health Research, Dept of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, at the University of Melbourne. He is also Chair of the Victorian Hospital Research Directors Forum.

Peter has published more than 200 peer-reviewed scientific papers from his research on different aspects of women's health, including endometriosis, menstrual disorders, uterine fibroids and infertility. Peter’s previous roles have included Scientific Director, Monash IVF Program; President, Australian and New Zealand Microcirculation Society; Chair, Victorian Cancer Biobank; NHMRC Principal Research Fellow and Director, Centre for Women's Health Research at Monash University.

Peter had the privilege of undertaking research with Dr Jean Hailes in the late 1980s and is proud of the legacy that has now been established in Jean's name. The founding directors’ original philosophy of combining education, clinical care and research has endured to ensure that Jean Hailes for Women's Health delivers exemplary women’s healthcare and trusted, up-to-date health information that is available to all women and families in Australia.
