Dr Kafayat (Kafa) Lee is a Specialist Women’s Health GP at Jean Hailes Clinic in the CBD of Melbourne.
Dr Kafa is passionate about her patients achieving the best health possible by empowering them to make positive lifestyle changes.
Dr Kafa has worked in inner city Melbourne since 2012 after moving from the UK where she trained and worked as a GP, prior to which she graduated from University of Nottingham in 2004. Dr Kafa holds the Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (UK) and the Diploma of the Faculty of Family Planning (UK). Dr Kafa is an antenatal Shared Care provider with the Royal Women's Hospital, Mercy Hospital for Women and Northern Hospital.
Dr Kafa is experienced in all aspects of Women's Health, with a special interest in the management of the perimenopause/menopause, sexual health, contraceptive methods (including IUD’s – both copper and Mirena/Kyleena removals and insertions as well as Implanon removals and insertions), managing PCOS, PMDD, pelvic pain, endometriosis, and other gynaecological diagnoses. Additionally, Dr Kafa has an interest in management of mental health diagnoses including ADHD and helping her patients through all stages in life.
When not dedicating herself to being an expert GP, Dr Kafa is immersed with pilates, on her spin bike, travelling and exploring Melbourne’s great coffee!
